Baby bottles and Sippy cups contain BPA and their sale by Wal-Mart, Babies R Us among other children products chains should immediately be discontinued.George Bittner, a neurobiology professor, conducted research and co-authored the paper in the NIH journal, Environmental Health Perspectives. This proved the presence of synthetic estrogen activity under microwave heat and dishwasher steam. The effects were infertility, asthma, genital deformity and heart-related conditions.Similarly, BPA should be banned on canned food containers since they have the same effect as from children products. Sealants, the lining found in metallic cans of canned foods, contain polycarbonate hence presence of BPA. Whereas it is highly unlikely that adults will leak the sealants or expose them to microwave heat and dishwasher steam, baby bottles and cups are exposed.
